![]() ![]() You going to be at VW's on the Green? Peace man, -Ian Get it close enough that you will have less than 1/8" of bondo. I'd say get rid of all the bondo and try to do some metal massaging to get the nose looking nice. Plan on doing the same thing to my bumpers, any suggestions for cheap close match for L82 silver white available from autozone/walmart?Īny other tips/experiences would be helpful, thanks, markġ967 Wesfalia SO-42 Parts Needed: Kitchenette, Cot Poles I just want something that looks decent from 20' away for the summer (plus i am missing my driver side rocker panel until winter, so perfection is not my purpose here) My other concern is: when i do the ghetto spray paint thing (with a best match color spray paint from a local paint supply store), do you simply mask off where the spray paint meets solid OG paint? or is there some technique to make the colors blend better? (obviously, the texture will be different to the touch). I have two concerns.first, i will do a quick wet sand of my primered/bondo'd nose, then fix a crack in the old bondo, with bondo brand bondo (this is a ghetto fix, after all), spray can primer the bondo repair and then spray paint the primered bondo.do i need to do any special prep to the cracked bondo area? is my order logical? (do it right do it once as it applies here is that i don't want to be putting more bondo in the crack all summer.just needs to hold me over till october) ![]() so i am not really too concerned with rust (should i be?.i do have rusty spots on the bus that have been spray can primered by previous owners) ![]() I plan on doing a ghetto temporary paint job to get me and my bus thru the summer.i plan to do it right during the fall/s pretty dry out here in colorado.been in a multi year drought.doesn't look any different this year.
